With benchmarks tightening and growing pressure to maximize cost and utilization efficiency under the value-based care model, healthcare provider organizations of all sizes are turning to analytics for answers.

As part of our 2025 Provider Market Survey, Milliman MedInsight sought input from provider organizations on their analytics priorities and challenges as well as their vision for what comes next.

Tight budgets, siloed data and other obstacles

The results, collected in our Executive Report, depict an industry facing common tensions in trying to align analytics capabilities and investments with clinical and business goals in the face of budget challenges, data siloes and persistent gaps between disparate systems and software.

Highlights of our report include an overview of the top digital transformation objectives of value-based care organizations, as well as the analytics capabilities they deemed most important to the future success of their organizations.
